ElectriVolt is Daniel Platts, a Sheffield electrician working across the city and about 25 miles around it. The person who quotes your job is the person who does it and the person who answers the phone afterwards.

Most complaints about electricians aren’t about the wiring. They’re about the price changing, nobody turning up when they said, or the certificate never arriving. Every one of those is a handover problem — the person who quoted isn’t the person who did the work, and neither is the person who was supposed to send the paperwork.
Running it as one person removes that. You’re not explaining the job twice, and there’s nobody to pass the blame to if something needs looking at again.
A written quote, and it doesn’t move unless the job itself changes and you’ve agreed to it. Bigger jobs get a visit first, because quoting a rewire off a phone description isn’t a quote, it’s a guess. Quotes are free and there’s no callout charge to come and look.
Dust sheets down, cables run neatly, boards labelled properly, and the mess cleared before we go. Chases and lifted boards are made good ready for decorating.
Certificates issued on every notifiable job, and the work registered so it’s on record when you sell, let or insure the property.
Domestic and commercial, from a single dead socket through to a full rewire or a bank of distribution boards. Day to day that means consumer unit upgrades, landlord certificates and testing, EV chargers, fault finding and commercial maintenance.
If it’s electrical and it’s within about 25 miles of Sheffield, it’s worth asking. See where we cover.
We won’t quote a rewire without seeing the property. We won’t tell you a board needs replacing when it doesn’t. And we won’t start extra work and tell you about it afterwards.
Where a cheaper option does the job, we’ll say so — a partial rewire instead of a full one, or remedial work instead of a new board. It costs us the bigger job and saves you the money, which is generally how you end up doing the next one too.
